Furniture Fort

Image
Sable is a mover and a shaker and now officially a walker. I saw her take the first step on Thursday, January 3rd and on Friday, the 18th she took 3 in a row. She walks around her furniture fort like a pro and is starting to t est her skills on other floors. After the service today, I walked into Kids' Church where Sable was taking her UGGs for a test-drive.

Lamaze Reunion -- One Year Later

Image
Seems like yesterday that we were introducing ourselves over hors d'oeuvres and juice at St. Luke's Roosevelt maternity ward. Only four of the nine families made it out to Michael, Susan and Zach's on the UWS and we had a lovely afternoon. Trying to recreate the summer reunion pose Zach, Marie-Sophie and Sable Susan holding Sinclair and Zach Marie holding Marie-Sophie

No Hats, No Mittens, No Scarves!

The temperatures this week have been as high as the mid-60s. Feels like winter where I grew up rather than the typical frigid Northeast. The runny nose and cough disappeared and Sable is having a blast at the local parks.

Living Her Dream

Image
My college roommate, Angelle, is living her childhood dream. She always said she would have a dancing school and she's on her second: one pre-Katrina and now she is building up post-Katrina students. Juliana, my niece, is one of her ballerinas. Angelle and I hadn't seen each other since we graduated and you can imagine the reunion as I walked into her studio to surprise her!!
