Mom's Day Out

Image
Today I had so much fun, I felt so free. I dropped Sable at Kristin's then headed to the gym, the dentist and shopping. I made a last stop for Tasti D Lite before jumping on the N train. The funniest thing is that Sable had so much fun, too, just check out the pics. I was expecting to walk through the door and find my baby's eyes light up for me like she does at the gym nursery but nope, I received no more than a glance (ha!) She loves hanging out with Kristin, Stella and Solomon. It's no wonder why: As I was leaving both Stella and Solomon were giving Sable kisses and Kristin had so many toys set up that I thought about staying, too.

Who Says NYC is Tough with Baby?

Image
Sable and I beg to differ. All of those spectators (not you of course) who speculate it impossible to parent with ease in NYC would have a change of heart after one day with us*. My born-and-raised-and-still-loving-NYC friends will attest to Gotham's good life growing up (thanks Sam, Colleen, Stacie, Eileen). Things are definitely not the same as life before Sable {shocking to most, Philip and I do not have pre-baby amnesia}. We still frequent our same haunts but now plan around naptimes and subway rush hour...or else we slap on the Bjorn and dive into the crowds. Unlike BFF Stella's world travels, Sable prefers to hang out in NY for as long as she can. Already well-traveled thru 4 out of 5 boroughs, check out a weekday in the Big Apple thru Sable's eyes. *Note: I know the subway stops with elevators by heart, the expensive stroller was worth every penny, Baby Bjorns rule and so do Hooter Hiders Checking emails after breakfast Taking a break from strollercizing Afternoon ...

Double Espresso Anyone ?

Image
Somebody was found playing in her Daddy's bean grinder today. Is this an early sign of an espresso lover?

Water Polo Weekend

Image
Big Timer Ivy League Coach Felix's wife stayed with us this weekend to cheer on Brown's water polo team as they played in Brooklyn and Queens. I've taken Sable to many "firsts" in her little life but this was a first we both shared: a water polo match. We had a good time at the games and I enjoyed being a spectator...didn't even miss being a competitive athlete as I cheered on the Bears.

Busy Bee

Image
Sable has been a busy bee at her #1 priority: Playing. We succumbed to rearranging our living room furniture so Sable can have a more confined play space.

Gold Posts

The Sable-Girl has new earrings. She was very happy with the exception of a 15 second cry.

Going Private

Image
Big Apple Baby's website is about to go from public to private. Please post your email address or email me if you would like to continue viewing our blog.

Two Front Teeth

Here they are, Sable's first two teeth.

Labor Day Girls Getaway

Image
We spent the weekend in Maine at Point Sebago with Kristin, Stella, Raina and the Harrison family. Sable had many firsts--first time in Maine, on a boat, on a lake...

Book Lover

Image
Sometimes Sable likes to sit in her daddy's chair and read books. er.com/_whJyiEUb8ko/Rt4R6LZ4xhI/AAAAAAAAAgQ/EkXOlVfq6sc/s1600-h/2.jpg">
