Dinner Party

Image
Every day I hug and kiss my babies at least 1,000 times and this is no exaggeration ( gosh, I am so like my father, haha). We love our girls so much that we love to share them with others; that is, with baby-sitters. So when we were invited to a dinner party, we jumped on the opportunity to have fun with adult friends and called up Miss Brittany to baby-sit our girls.

Sable & Ruby's "At-Home" Vacation

Image
Sable & Ruby had the best time with Nana & Aunt Barbie while we were away, and we have evidence to believe vice versa as Aunt Barbie gave us nearly 200 pics she snapped on her camera. I included a few below--some show the sheer fun of Nana while others display the activities of the week. Our girls lacked nothing; that is, nothing but good ole' discipline. Did I mention that Ruby's new word of the week is "NO!" and Sable has the attitude of a 15-year-old primadonna? The sheriff is back in town and has high hopes things will return to normal soon. Nana sitting in the sand--she's a better sport than Mommy Ruby's loot: Sable's Baby Boy--uh oh, I smell a fight! Yay for Bubbles! By far this is Ruby's favorite pasttime Our Baby Nursing Her Baby (Ferrara Phenomena: Our girls using dish rags as baby blankets) Sable's favorite pasttime: PLAY DOH Working on her "puter" Ruby Simone is diesel in both the arms and brain No wonder Nana said ...

Vacation!!!!!!!!!

Image
We celebrated our ten-year anniversary on an island of the Bahamas last week. It was our first week-long trip in four years, and we enjoyed it so much. However, we spent our days and nights quite differently than four years ago: Lights were out voluntarily by 10pm & less was more. Our girls spent a week on vacation as well; only they stayed in the GNV while Nana & Aunt Barbie tended to their beckoned call (as evidenced by their attitudes upon our return, we may have a wee bit of undoing :) THANK YOU NANA & AUNT BARBIE & Janel who stayed the weekend from college. My first week in 4 years without a phone, Internet or Starbucks! Easy Like Sunday Morning

Image
This past month our church merged its two services to one, and it starts mid-morning which means Sunday mornings are easy -- more lingering over breakfast and more quality family time.
