A Glorious Summer Day on the Bay

Image
Joel, James and I started our day on the bay with Joel  on the kayak (and two fishing poles) and James and me on a paddleboard. We perused the preserve in our neighborhood while sharing the bay with a dolphin and a manatee, as well as snook and jumping trout.  I don’t have photos of that trip since I was all hands on deck with two young sons exploring the waters, mangroves and a tiny beach whose trail led to a treehouse, broken up dock and other remnants of storm destruction   We tubed near our home before crossing the bay to Apollo Beach for an outdoor dinner. Cheeked some bait traps on the way home since it’s offshore fishing tmrw  Glorious Day! Greatful to God!

Yesterday completed our 2023-24 school year and we are officially on summer break!  James finished reading his chapter book, Swiss Family Robinson so his reward was to rent the movie. Life is so fun with an 8 year old son.
