42 1/2 Week Update

Since we have no exciting news to report in the GNV, here's a little update for our phone-calling fans: Same old same old. We went to BabyGap today, the Presidents' Day sale is usually too good to pass up. Today it was 44% off of already reduced sale items. I bought some baby girl clothes & for the first time ever, some baby boy clothes. I don't have any unisex clothing for an infant above 8 pounds. I'm not sure if I'm having a horse or a normal size baby but I had enough common sense to pass up the Newborn (7lb) size clothing. Sable could've worn Preemie and Ruby wore Newborn, but this baby I'm not too sure will ever see a letter "N" or "P" on his/her clothing or diapers. Heck, I'm starting to wonder when I will see namebrands in my clothing other than "Motherhood", "Mimi" or "JW".

42 week update & February in Florida

Sable having a manicure, Ruby waiting her turn Notice the shoes Ruby picked to wear :) Oh, the things we see in our neighborhood I believe those are Oakleys, nothing but the best for the athletic dog Ruby onlooking my pedicure Notice her Brighton necklace accessory Nothing but the best for a 10-month preggo craving: Haydel's king cake (Sable got the baby) I'm still pregnant! After two BPP tests to measure the amniotic fluid, placenta health, and infant health, everything looks perfect for me to begin week 43. My pelvis is still floating, being held together by only a ligament in the front which inhibits lateral movement such as rolling over in bed at night. Speaking of my bed, I miss it. I'm not sleeping due to dry mouth, vicious heart burn, midnight "morning sickness" at ten months, and the restless leg syndrome makes me feel angry at the world. I'd rather wake up four times to my baby's cry at night than four trips to the bathroom, mais que sera sera. ...

We love, love, love when our baby girls get along, that's why these pics are our favorites of the week. When Sable & Ruby are learning to live together in harmony (to put it nicely), it is quite hilarious. I was making lunch on Thursday and noticed Ruby trying to beat Sable with a piece of a rubber gym mat because she wanted Sable to play with her. It was so flimsy that Sable had no idea of the nonsense going on in her ponytail, and I was cracking up!

40 Week Update & The Question

Sable asked the question, the question . We were eating lunch around the kitchen bar and she inquisitively asked how the baby would come out and how the midwives will help the baby out. I told her it's a process and a miracle of God. For my matter-of-fact little lady, that satisfied her inquiring mind. 40 week update: Saw my midwife this morning, between 1-2 cm dilated, still 30% effaced, measuring 38 weeks. To translate, I could go any day and Baby #3 is going to be on the smaller side. He/She is very healthy, heart rate of 130/140. (To compare, both Sable's & Ruby's heartbeats at 9 months were 120.) The other question I hear from everyone buy my daughters, "How are you feeling?" To answer everyone at once, feeling very good despite major energy swings (wake up high but ready to fall asleep after breakfast) and despite significant discomfort in my pelvis. The RN says my pelvis is "floating" and not actually connected like usual but this sho...
