Ferrara's in Florida

Blogger won't allow me to post pics, so until I learn to navigate the new protocol, another story will have to do. Have you heard of Charming?  Let me refresh your memory through the below dialogue I overheard while cooking dinner two nights ago...and I wasn't the only one making dinner-- Ruby Simone:  Oh, Charming, your dinner is ready.  I made you your favorite foods.  Sable:  John Smith*, my husband, just loves my dinners.  Don't you just love cooking for our husbands? Ruby Simone: Oh yes I do.  I love cooking for Charming, he works so hard and he's gonna be home soon. Sable:  Yea, John Smith works really hard too, he has a long day everyday. Mommy: (Trying to keep a straight face and pretending to mind my own business) Ruby Simone:  My husband just loves my sparkly high heels too.  Let me go put them on. Sable:  Oh, I'm getting ready for my husband but my baby needs to eat first. Ruby Simone:  Friend ...

Tonight when Sable was reading to me & Ruby Simone, I asked them to give me an idea of how I'm doing as their mom.  I asked them to rate me on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being a bad mom and 10 being a great mom. Mommy: So, do you understand? Sable: Yes, Mommy.  A "1" bad mom is a mom who says, "You can just eat whatever you want and then go to the playground when you want and come back and eat junk foods" and a "10" great mommy says, "Sweetie, I will make you a yummy breakfast and play with you at the playground and we'll come home and do school and have fun together." Mommy: Good, you understand. So where do I fall? Am I a one or a ten or somewhere in between? Sable: Oh, Mommy, you are a 100 trillion and three more 100s! Ruby Simone: Mommy, I know what a "1" is.  It's a mom who lets her daughters wear whatever clothes they want.  And the "1" mommy wears shirts that aren't appropriate for anyone to wear....
