School Days

Tomorrow (Mon, 9/30) marks our first nine weeks of our fall trimester.  Time really does fly when you're having fun! Florida homeschooling recommends documenting events from the school year.  This blog makes for a perfect journal of our life; and thus, our days as we learn to read, write and use math to successfully interact and communicate in our community. Mimi's Pops' Endearing Email

Gina,   I thought I sent Ruby her $30 of matching money but I think it was her birthday money not her match money. Thus, I will send you $30 for Ruby’s match (or let me know if it s/b a different (larger)number since Ruby may have more money to save now). Also, please let me know if I need to send matching funds for the little entrepreneur, Sable Yukari! I hear Sable’s business, “Sable’s Special Services”, is quite an enterprising operation. Who knows…it may be an IPO candidate one day!   I love you.   Dad (aka Pops, although, as Ruby so astutely notes, my real name is “Ricky”)   p.s. Dad I hope it's okay with you that we posted this sweet email. xo

Daddy and Mommy took Ruby Simone to dinner for her birthday tonight. Pizza, Sprite and TCBY yogurt with chocolate chips and gummy worms.  I was telling her about the day she was born. She loved it. And then she asked me how God made her in my womb, specifically, "did He round my head into a ball like playdoh?" Lol

Pink Plates

Joel is speaking more clearly and has some new vocab: Little did we realize he knew his colors until breakfast when Daddy gave him a pink plate. We had a typical-two-year-old-flip-out right at the table.  It went something like this: No! No! Noooooooo! No pink! No pink plate! Pink girl. Pink girls. Not boy. Me green! Now to mention he refuses to eat on the Hello Kitty pink gingham-patterned plate and refuses anything Strawberry Shortcake. Happy Sunday.
