4-H Field Trip

Agriculture abounds in North Central Florida.  Lots of field trips this spring to see high schoolers raising livestock, where food comes from, etc.  All 3 kids made butter, too. Joel and his buddy, Dietrich Listening to a middle-school child explain how he raises his cattle our teen friend, Lydia, educating us on raising goats A middle-schooler raised this bunny and even let us pet it!

Playing Boutique

On special occasions, I set up a boutique and the kids absolutely love it.  They spend their earnings on Build-A-Bear clothing, purses, jewelry...and for the first time trains.  Joel enjoys spending his money which, in turn, motivates him to ask for work and household chores.  This might just be one of the most comprehensive, thorough lessons of our children's education.  And it's fun!
