This pic was too cute not to post.  My big girl, Sable, walked with me back to the car from the nearby waterpark.  Joel eagerly desired to help me so he pushed the stroller while Ruby snuggled James all the way to the parking lot.

Blueberry Picking & a Watermelon Farm

Image
My friend, Rachel, and I have known each other since 2000, before she was married & when I was a newlywed.  Now we each have great husbands and four kids each!  Sable and Mia are 6 weeks apart in age and the others are stair-stepped. Each spring we visit the strawberry farm; however, this year our kids picked straweberries when Pops and Mimi were in town.     Rachel found a super duper blueberry farm so we brought our EIGHT kids and surprise guest, Nana Ferrara!  The blueberries were delightful and so was the company with whom we spent the morning. Aria-4, Joel-5, Cole-7, Ruby-7 1/2, James-5 mo., Mia-9, Asher-1, Sable 9 Baby Blue Eyes enjoying the blueberry fields  Brotherly babble over blueberries (yes, that's James exploring the blueberry bush) Special Guest Nana A quick visit to a nearby watermelon farm Watermelons!

Ocean Vacation

Image
We took a trip to the east coast of Florida, the same familiar location.  Joel and I went out for our morning walk which turned into a run.  Atlantic beaches are great for running and other sports.  The girls can flip and walk on their hands because the sand is so firm. Joel spotted a turtle on the way to our morning stroller run. Post morning workout inside spanish fort on a cannon near spanish fort sweet sable requested a photo with her mommy watching the soldiers simulate a cannon blastoff

Vacation Mornings

Image
With little boys, vacation mornings are lively.  It's become tradition for Joel and me to take a walk so the rest of the family can sleep in.  We sometimes take a baseball with us.  This year we took James and forgot a ball BUT we found rocks.  Who needs a ball when rocks are plentiful? One of the loves of my life!
