The girls were accepted to show their art (for sale and on-site demonstration) on Saturday, March 4th at the Tioga Art Show. Professional and amateur artists spend three days showing art. Our girls, along with neighbor Ella Pridgen, prepared for six weeks. Sable, no longer in competitive gymnastics with Ruby, spent many weekday afternoons sewing and creating masterpieces. Ruby, on the otherhand, spent her Saturdays and had much less to show. No worries for her as she decided to sell waters to make up the difference. Big Sister Sable finished many of her pieces and graciously let Ruby keep the full proceeds. Since I am not super artistic in the crafty sense, and since Miss Courtney (our nanny/babysitter) is quite natural at it, she guided the girls in their artful preparations.
