The Pampered Preggo

Image
With Mom and Ginger in town the past few days (and Pops & Nana the prior week), just call me the pampered preggo. Life has been grand! The kitchen always clean, laundry always folded, the toddler entertained...with all this fantastic help, my priorities have been to rest and relax...to sit back and enjoy these last few weeks as a family of "3" until Little Sunshine arrives and normal sleeping habits take a back seat. I think we enjoyed Mimi and Aunt Gingee's visit so much that we forgot to take pics. All I snapped was Sable lounging on Mimi during breakfast.

Duck Pond

Image
Sable has taken a liking to ducks so one afternoon, I took her to a local duck pond where we fed the ducks. We only had fresh bread in the house so I brought a few pieces. Sable watched me tear then throw pieces of bread to the ducks and put her hand out for her own. She had alternative plans; however, as more of the bread went into her own mouth than into the ducks'. She also got carried away watching the ducks that she waddled into the pond not even realizing her little feet were sopping wet in muddy waters.

Pops & Nana's Visit

Image
Pops and Nana spoiled us for a whole week plus a few extra days!!!! Sable went on several "field trips" to farms and playgrounds, Nana picked out some indoor plants for the first floor, cleaned all the laundry, the kitchen, cooked yummy meals...you name it, Nana was on it. As for Pops, Sable got used to having a personal playmate 24/7. The last few days were physically challenging for me (even stopped in the hospital one evening), but Pops and Nana saved the night. Thanks, Pops and Nana for staying an extra day to care for us! We already miss you!!!

Orlando Mini-Vacation

Image
We spent last weekend in Orlando with Pops and Nana, Uncle Tim, Aunt Marlene, Paige and Emma. We had a really fun time even in the heat and humidity. Perhaps Sable enjoyed the trip more than the rest as she was pampered by all.

July 4th Festivities

Image
The Fourth of July made for a fun Friday. We enjoyed breakfast with the Pridgen's at Brian and Raina's, walked to the patriotic Tioga parade, then toured one of Jamie's homes. Afterwards we had coffee with some visiting friends, Mr. and Mrs. Marx (Pastor Andrea's parents). Sable's nap broke up the day as we spent the second half at Nigel and Rachel's. What a surprise to be treated as Mike & Sherry's kids for the afternoon. Mia's grandparents had a balloon (her fave new toy) waiting for Sable when we arrived, played in the yard with her and even took her on a walk. The two little princesses had a ball while Nigel, Rachel and us enjoyed some R&R.
